Speed and scale to end undernutrition
Highlights
The Child Nutrition Fund (CNF) 2025 Annual Report highlights how governments, donors and partners are working together to protect and accelerate progress against child and maternal undernutrition in an increasingly challenging global environment.
Despite shrinking development assistance, conflict, climate shocks and mounting pressure on health systems, the CNF continued to help countries expand access to life-saving nutrition services and strengthen national nutrition programmes. By the end of 2025, the CNF supported 45 of 63 eligible countries to sustain critical nutrition interventions in five priority areas. Through its innovative financing model, including a 1:1 matching mechanism that incentivises domestic investment in nutrition, the CNF is assisting countries in scaling proven interventions while building stronger, more sustainable nutrition systems.
The report showcases progress across maternal nutrition and infant feeding to micronutrient supplementation and the treatment of wasting. It also features stories from countries where governments, health workers and communities are delivering tangible results for children and women.
More than a record of achievements, the report is a call to sustain momentum. At a time of rising need and declining resources, it demonstrates how strategic partnerships, domestic leadership and innovative financing can help ensure every child has the opportunity to survive, grow and thrive.
